This idea was most popular by far, though I did end up deviating from the pitch for a different perspective. Think it still came out decent, though.

Someone asked for no-text versions of the previous sketches, so those are also included in this post.

I think I have mentioned before, that I would make some background mockups on SecondLife (some people who watch my streams will have seen this), 3d models that help me get perspective and stuff correct and speed background work along. Well, the place where I was doing that has closed down (you need land to do that, and the land I have myself isn't big enough for it). So that has pushed me to pick up and learn Google SketchUp for this purpose. So far it seems pretty intuitive, but I'll be using that for making the background mockups for the Makwa x Kian comic (which needs a name?). It's inconvenient for me at this particular time to have a new tool to learn, but in the end it's probably better that I'm pushed to do it. Doing this on SketchUp or other real 3d/CAD programs is how a lot of professional artists do it, so it's better if I start doing it properly instead of just working with a janky solution.
