For me this movie was cool, they gave us tons of cool stuff and eventough there were so many flaws you would never see from togashi. I really disliked how the former number 4 dude (forgot his name already, the villain)completely abandons every single aspect of nen and how he didn't fit at all and how the troupe won't catch kurapika and imprison him untl chrollo has his new removed and all that logical stuff that doesn't match with HxH "realistic" world. Overall this movie was badly writing wise in comparison to the anime and how it isn't HxH at all but at the same time they gave us tons of troup members and showed us them fighting (we didn't see anything from Nobunaga in the anime for example), tied in heavily anime related stuff like Killuas issues with Illumi, they used the great HxH anime music really well and in general gave us a great feeling watching this. Still I think the non canon elements were reallyyyyy offputting for me and the villain was so incredibly flat and weird but I would rate it a 8/10 because it still did a really good job with the backstory and the general "YEAH MORE HXH CONTENT!!" feeling. I mean people telling u the movie is trash is more like HxH is a clear 10/10 and every single arc from the HxH anime is way better than this movie too but still from an objective standpoint it is a really good non-canon movie.

Even though they're not canon I enjoyed the movies for what they were. 90 minutes of entertainment. Just don't watch the next one until you finish the series because spoilers.

The movies are not canon... Made by the same studio, but completely different storywise. Basically an anime only cash grab filler (except for the Kurapika's backstory). Don't expect much...
