Its pronounced the same in the dub and sub. You pronounce it "kur-a-pee-kah" when its pronounced "kur-aw-pee-ka". Very small difference that I personally don't mind. Also I know you used to pronounced it "Gone" instead of "gohn". Though that one is relative because different characters pronounced it differently Ive noticed

Don't worry about it the name pronunciation, Gon is fine sounds about like gone. AS for Kurapika, in Japanese, they kinda roll the "R" so when you say "RA" you should ear L and D in the pronunciation. For native English speaker, it hard to pronounce compare to a native Spanish speaker will have less of a hard time. As for me I just kinda roll my "R"

I always pronounced Kurapika as ku-RAH-pi-ka with the emphasis on the second syllable but I have also heard it as ku-rah-PI-ka with the emphasis on the third. In the end, I don't think it really makes much of a difference. And Gon is just gon, like the word gone.

I honestly don't think it matters how you say their names. The important thing is that everyone (including you) knows who you mean. And different languages have a harder time to pronounce certain things and accents make the difference too. I think saying that "IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE SAID LIKE THIS" is just stupid and honestly kinda annoying.

A little explanation of what happened with the Troupe and Hisoka: The troupe all got fortunes telling them that if they fought Kurapika half of them would wind up dead so they all decided that if they leave town that won't happen. Hisoka read his actual fortune first then used Texture Surprise, his other ability, to change what the paper said. The new fortune is fake. It tells the Troupe that if they go home half of them will die. So now they won't leave the city which is what Hisoka and Kurapika both want for different reasons.

The dub has killua call him go-n, making the go sound like go at a light rather than gahn. Personally i think the way you say it is better, but yea.

Great reaction and just to bring back to mind his fortune said to go east which at the end of the arc he mentions going, so mind boggling as it is...was all that predicted by Neon?!?!? Since you enjoy her fortune telling, just a nice touch to add to it.

Excellent reaction as usual :) The yorknew city arc finishes on a calmer note compared to other arcs but it's still my favorite. The author didn't choose the easy/predictable climax as other shonens (That gets old real quick) He actually showed Kurapika's and the troupe's evolution throughout these episodes with Kurapika letting go of his rage/revenge a little to save Gon and Killua and the troupe disregarding their ironclad rules to save their boss as well instead of sacrificing him :)

The other way people sometimes say kurapikas name is like kur-ah-pika instead of what I think is normal which is how you say it kur-uh-pika Leo has be watched hxh(subbed) 10times over and it’s definitely pronounced gon and not guun

Just gonna comment this again cause I think you'll be more likely to see it here in this newer video (and thanks for posting again so soon!) I highly reccommend you check out the two 0 volume chapters, Kurapika's Reminiscences, and especially the first chapter of the manga, BEFORE the end of the next arc (episode 75). They're on mangadex, easy to find, and they give a lot of important backstory not in the anime.
