For the record the name of the end of the Grand Line "Raftel" is an extremely important name to remember for the future. But you should also know that it's actually called "Laughtale." The proper spelling for the word wasnt actually written anywhere in the anime until movie 14 (in the 800s) so until you reach that point it will always be spelled "Raftel" in the subtitles. Just know that it's not differentiable because there actually is a reason why it's called "Laughtale" but anything more than that would be spoilers.

Tom was always proud of building Roger's ship. He never denied it. Just because he was proud of it doesn't mean want to die either so that's why he built the sea train. It also helped save Water 7 as well. At the end though he did what he did for two reasons: 1. He would rather be found guilty for something he actually did do than for something he didn't do. 2. By taking the annulment for the attack on the Judicial Ship he was able to also get Franky and Iceberg free as well. They had no connection to Roger's ship so they wouldn't be found guilty for it.

While the anime does eventually slow down in pace and quality a bit, the manga consistently produces amazing content. Oda is a genius. Chapter 1000 came out last week and I still feel the hype and magic I felt in chapter 100.
