Yeah, the animation takes a deep sometimes, but it's only when a heavy action is going to happen during the episode. It doesn't go too far in "bad quality" but you do see some rushed things.

Yeah, I agree with this. Most openings are fine when they first start. The only ones that I felt were spoilery were 3 (which was really bad) and 17 (which only had one thing that spoiled a reveal six episodes after it started).

For the openings, you can watch Openings 1-5 right now. You can even look up and do the endings if you want since you never reacted to those. In fact, the endings stop at 278 so when you reach that point you can react to all the endings.

Episode 239 is animated by Naoki Tate, who starts developing a very distinctive style around this point and which is probably why you noticed a difference from previous episodes. He's pretty famous now for his work on Dragon Ball Super and it seems like a lot of people like the way he animates, he has a very fluid style of animation that works well for fight scenes. Personally I'm not a huge fan of his work in One Piece since it's so jarringly different from the other episodes, it just feels out of place. We'll see more of his work for a while, though.

If you're just trying to avoid new crewmate spoilers, I think the only ones you need to worry about are opening 3 with Robin and opening 9 (it's sometimes labeled opening 8, there's a stretch of recap episodes that has its own opening that some people don't count. Also it's only a spoiler for like, one canon episode) Otherwise, the only spoilers in each opening are quick little shots of upcoming fights and stuff, like any typical anime opening. If you don't mind those you can probably react to everything as they appear. Also, episode 239 is where they start putting in cold opens before the opening song, which sometimes contains new stuff. This goes on for most of this arc, but they'll revert to the normal format eventually. When I watched this part it threw me for a loop, too haha

You can react to the current opening so, 1-5 if you want to, also the endings are also spoiler free right now. I think you should get maybe to the halfway point of the series (you'll know when you get there, or we'll tell you) and then re-react to all of openings 1-14.
