Neat little call back to Mirian’s artificer ship dreams. Puts things in perspective with a single line.

2026-01-30 10:57:35 +0000 UTCThe Unmoored said that temporals anchors needs to be returned from ancients and actuals prophets because the fall of Divir and the failure of the entropic field are linked to the needles if I remember right and something like "they'll know when to return it" (all this time shennanigans and prophecies are twistin my brain). A possible outcome is that even with a perfect leyline regulator, they can't prevent Divir's fall without some needles back where they should be. And you'll probably have a Battle Royal of some sort, a majority vote to sacrifice some or just some of them to volunteer themselves. 2 of them are not overly critical because we don't see much of them. But the 4 others will probably fight to not "die". And there's Mirian, who has the knowledge and power needed, feeling invested by a sacred mission, that she'll probably have the logical reasonning that she can't sacrifice herself but have to be the judge, jury and executor if the 7 of them can't agree

2026-01-29 08:31:02 +0000 UTCI feel a heartbreak coming, idk how it will be but this is going too well. Like maybe they stop the moon but it explodes in the sky and the meteorites kill everyone anyway, or theres treason going on with the profects... I also always thought there could be only one profect because when the luminate order talks about them they are one at a time so maybe there needs to be a battle royale situation.

2026-01-29 02:57:32 +0000 UTCThe Ominian exploding is still a separate issue.
Mr NerfGun
2026-01-28 23:32:48 +0000 UTCJust saving Enteria is only half of the issue. The other half is the Prophets contend to decide what Enteria will be like after the loops end. Because as Mirian has said, Enteria won't be the same after. The social and political re=engineering hasn't happened yet. I expect that there will be a lot of fighting over, among other things, which Prophet controls the leyline regulator. That Prophet can turn off the regulator and let Divir fall, ending the world again, if she or he doesn't approve of the way things are going.

2026-01-28 22:54:17 +0000 UTCChapter 21 Mirian: Alright, this is going to be the hardest fight of our lives, but we need to clear these frost scarabites and banebriar so that the people of Torrviol can survive. Chapter 285 Mirian: I have repelled the leviathans, smote the wicked, and enlightened the faithful. Now you must all complete your pilgrimage to the holy place and build the monument there, for the sake of Enteria.

2026-01-28 22:52:52 +0000 UTCNice to see that Enteria has worked out how to make aluminum metal. I guess it makes sense given they have airships but I think this is the first mention of aluminum in the story.

2026-01-28 22:32:58 +0000 UTCSo I'm seeing a general sentiment in the comments of "there's no way we're this close to the end, right?" so here are my predictions. Questions that we still need answered: - Where did the second returned temporal anchor come from? If it's from a Prophet not from this age of Prophets, then presumably more of them will return later, extending the loop. If it is from this age of Prophets, holy shit someone else can remove temporal anchors. - Who is the ninth god statue at the end of the Vaults, and where do Luminate focuses come from? - What was the 10th energy in that one labyrinth room in chapter 161? - What happened to the rest of the holy relics? The Ring of the First and the Staff of the Third? - Who is this Vyginto guy who bought up Dhelia's whole inventory? It was presumably because her birth father had allegedly been sighted in Falijmali, but that means there is someone else in on the secrets? Other things that i think MIGHT happen: - Reaching out to those other necromancy cults that Gaius mentioned. - Something about Westerun meddling, and/or one of the Prophets finding out about her dad. - Apophagorga resurfaces. - Mirian has to use her contingency on Luamin. - Conflict about Elder Gate authority. Several of these are pointing towards another conflict among the Prophets. I don't think there are any HIDDEN Prophets because the dream is linear now so it would be difficult to hide, so it's more likely to be betrayal than a new enemy (unless the hidden Prophet is extremely competent, which would in turn make them even scarier).

2026-01-28 22:30:47 +0000 UTCSad that Atrah can't experience that first loop with Mirian, but heartened by the fact that he can definitely handle external memories and hope there's a final run where she shares that with him

2026-01-28 22:02:27 +0000 UTCThings are going well! Possibly a little too well. I'm putting in a prediction that finishing the Regulator will not be enough to stop the apocalypse or the loop, but will reveal what really has to be done. While this is an *absurd* feat, it still seems too easy; if the solution were just "build at impossibly big artifact", presumably Conductor and co would be able to see this as a solution.

2026-01-28 20:26:44 +0000 UTCfantastic chapter, this magic-math is what got me hooked on this story at first and it’s still so much fun to see the little intricacies and logical structures come alive on the page

2026-01-28 20:23:09 +0000 UTCTypo: “and too many people from arcanists to protect along the hundreds of miles people were routing through.” should probably be “for” arcanists to protect.

2026-01-28 20:19:50 +0000 UTC"Myrvite migrations weren’t as massive as they would be soon, but there were still broods of drakes and nests of roaming lightning scorpions, and too many people from arcanists to protect along the hundreds of miles people were routing through." I think that last part should be something like: "and too many people for the arcanists to protect along the several hundred mile long route." Thank you so much for the chapter!

2026-01-28 20:17:44 +0000 UTCI'm not nearly ahead enough on things to have scheduled releases right now, so everything is being released manually. I do an edit check to make sure any edits I made here are being made on the version going over to RR, which often delays the release by tens of minutes!
