Hello all! Worldcon is in town, so this week I've been listening to panels about SFF and craft from a lot of wise authors. Hopefully, the advice and tricks they've been talking about find their way into my writing to make it better. Doing that in addition to writing has been pretty exhausting, but definitely worth it. It's been cool to hear from folks like Matt Dinniman, Ada Palmer, Paolo Bacigalupi, Martha Wells and Brandon Sanderson. I also got to attend a Writing Excuses podcast recording, a podcast which I credit with helping me get back into writing some eight years back, which eventually led to this story.

The last day of Worldcon is today, and then I'm going to be mashing my keyboard with renewed and inspired vigor!

As a note, I'll also be at Dragoncon, which apparently is the con with a lot more of the litrpg/progression fantasy crowd. I'm not on any panels and don't have a table or anything, but I'll be around. I've never been, so I'm mostly going there to learn. By nature, I'm something of a recluse, but it will be cool to meet fellow enthusiasts!
