Weekly roundup 8/3
Added 2025-08-03 16:49:34 +0000 UTCI sent out Chapter 235 with a title that said it was 236, but it's not 236 because 236 isn't done and I will be madly pounding away at the keyboard to change that later today.
Several old chapters seem to have had a chunk of text at the start of the chapter duplicated, sometimes once, sometimes several times. Since the chunk of text being duplicated is the preview text before the "paid access starts here line," I'm assuming this error was introduced by Patreon's recent changes to how preview text works. Somehow, it didn't affect all old chapters, but it's going to take me a bit to go through and find all the places it did pop up. No clue about how that sort of thing happens.

2025-08-13 15:31:12 +0000 UTCHmm i'd say Mirian is underutilizing Atrah Xidi. I feel like she could get a lot from studying his spells, runes, and picking his mind for information. I'd also like to see a cycle where she revamps all her spells/spellbooks since she has learned a ton since she made it. It feels like there are a lot of inefficent, basic, or useless spells she uses in her basic rotation that could be improved tremendously into better versions, more comprehensive versions, or more efficent versions. It feels like theres s ton going on right now, with no particular mini arc driving mirian forward except the mysterious stranger, and thats pretty minimal. Tlaxhuaco, liuan, gabriel, the stranger... It all feels balanced in a way that no one thing is pushing her more than her nebulous goal of getting more info and exploring new things. I thought she'd have gone to Zhigua by now honestly. Or to see the viaterrian ruins. Also, why hasnt she made a spell to hide her eyes yet? I guess I'm feeling like theres no particular storyline driving Mirian forward right now, besides the larger background goal, which is an easy fix I imagine. Overall very much enjoying the story. Also, the other prophets finding out everything Mirian has been keeping from them: necromancy from Xecatl, Relicarium and her relationship with Gaius from the others, especially with Scebur skulking around since they might reveal everything to turn them against one another.
