Make it a slow but inevitable process until nothing can stop her. Full disclosure, I like progression stories with overpowered main characters… which obviously isn’t for everyone.

2024-10-06 22:41:48 +0000 UTCas others mentioned, I like the discovery of new ways to combine different sets of knowledge, esp towards uncovering the mysteries of her soul mark and her past. I like especially that those mysteries simmer and very slowly unwind, and seeing how her efforts in various disciplines end up looping back in and bringing her closer to understanding or making new connections like i love the dervish forms she's learning now and am excited to see how it affects her understanding of soul/celestial magics

2024-10-06 20:19:40 +0000 UTCTo me this story has always been her journey as an arcanist, realizing how many things like soul magic are actually closely tied to her core knowledge base, then using the expanded foundation to build higher than anyone thought possible. Other progression paths like social knowledge, dervish growth, getting the relic blade, etc. are also all enjoyable, but ideally they would have synergy with her wizardry. Either being elevated by some good spell application, revealing a new path of spell advancement, or even just clearing a block that she hasn't been able to advance with spells alone. Tldr advancement from basic artificer to grand unified wizardry, with a side of sword and social power to synergize with magic and make a well rounded badass.

I want to see her use more soul magic secretly/combined into her spellcasting and crafting, to the amazement of others. I want to see ehat effect a stronger and 'shinier' soul has on her spell power, and for people to be blown away by it lol

How she learns from all the different cultures and integrate it into here style. The synergy she discovers is the true icing on the cake. That being said, I also would like to see another magic power test, see where she's currently at.

2024-10-06 17:39:50 +0000 UTCI like her: 1. Getting measurably better and overcoming things she couldn't before. 2. Learning new things. 3. Combining things and having great synergy between the various things she is learning. I want another test of her magic power. How close is she to Arch Mage levels with all the soul training? I am still waiting for her to learn more from the labyrinth. For example, if she figured out how to make denser soul and then uses that to solve the myrvite to glyph puzzle. It is these types of overlaps that are the most fun.

2024-10-06 17:34:23 +0000 UTCI voted for scribing as central, but in truth I'm eagerly waiting for her to combine arcane and celestial magics and scribe combined spells of that into her spellbook. It's been so long since she started thinking about an unified theory, with small progress here and there, but nothing definitive yet, and this is the most exciting progression for me. Also agree with tangible progression being very good. Uncorpsing of Arenthia and how she prepared exactly what and when to do are my favorite so far.

2024-10-06 17:08:34 +0000 UTCThis might be against the grain, but my favorite magical progress is anything we get shown the benefits of. Show me something she can't overcome (or has trouble overcoming). Show me a couple chaps of progress. And then show me her overcoming that + the next thing that would've been impossible without the progress (those don't all have to be contiguous chaps). That's what really hits the spot. (Current thing I'm waiting on for this is the labyrinth with dervish progress). The exact type of progress matters less to me than the dopamine hit of watching her make use of the new power
