MC History: Who is the MC? Who is his Father?

Hope you guys had a good Holiday! Let's get back to business. This post is full of spoilers so don't read if you prefer to find all this out while actually playing the game. This post is also only really for people who prefer to have a deeper understanding of the game's storyline.

His real name is Sylvian, however, you can name him whatever you want as the game allows you now, and he is American.

So far, the MC has not been explained much. This was done on purpose, as I much rather prefer RPG's where you yourself make the story. However, having some sort of backstory to go on is important. So far, all you know is the MC has a father who died, and somehow the MC is extremely powerful, and that Marnie is the MC's Fairy Godmother.

The story is, the MC lived with his mother his entire life. She did her best to keep the MC away from his father for reasons I'm about to explain.

Sylvian's Backstory

Sylvian is a mega crime lord. He is the most wanted individual in history and has evaded police his entire life. His crime ring extends extremely far, and he has his hands in just about everything. He's been able to easily avoid police because he can travel in-between worlds from the current one to the steampunk/medieval one I keep referring to. His crime ring not only extends to this world, but the other one as well.

Sylvian has had many flings over the years, but only one bearing a child (the MC). Around the age of 35, he met Martha and she also became one of his flings, but that came with a price. She saw Sylvian as a threat and put a curse on him, which would start whenever he turned age 55. When he reaches that age (which he is now), his consciousness would get locked away, effectively rendering him in a coma for the rest of his life, until death

However, with all curses, they come with a way to reverse it. In order to ensure Sylvian would never be able to undo the curse, she made the reverse method an extremely specific circumstance that could never be possible, or so she thought. A child of his, would have to have sex with a child of hers, on a specific date, in the same year Sylvian goes into a coma. His child would also have to be extremely powerful in some way, which was impossible as normal humans can't have powers. It was an off-the-wall, first crazy thing that came into her mind kind of idea. Sylvian had no idea how to reverse it, and looked into several methods of witchcraft over the years in the other world to seek out an answer - which led to nothing.

Myles was with the MC when he finally met his father, who was in the hospital. Before he slipped away, he told him to find someone named Marnie Suzuki, as he found out that Martha had children (Marnie & Lorraine). Myles, who's also holding a secret, knew exactly who that was and told the MC where to find her, which is where the game starts.

The specific night that the MC had to have sex with Marnie is on the night he arrives at the house. Marnie is completely unaware of what Martha did to Sylvian, and Martha herself has forgotten about the entire ordeal as Sylvian seemingly disappeared. In reality, he didn't disappear, he found a way into the other world and has been building his criminal empire there and searching for a cure, occasionally coming back to the present to keep up with his criminal empire here as well.

What is a Godson?

A Godson is a human who has a fairy godmother, and the human generates extremely powerful powers. It's never happened before and was known as a myth in the other world. It's supposed to happen because of something evil coming. However, many evil "villains" per say have came up over the years in the other world and a Godson was never there to stop it, which is why they thought of it was a myth, like a children's bedtime story in the other world.

To get more into detail, the reason Marnie and Lorraine are surprised the MC can see them is because, and we're getting deep here so sorry for the spoilers, fairies can't see their godchildren in this game, and the only time the particular humans are even supposed to see them is in their adolescent years. There was a shift at some point within the leadership of fairies and they decided to stop this whole fairy godmother deal and instead call themself witches and wizards. Their roots remain the same, they are still fairies, but the ancient magic used to put an end to the fairy godmother part is irreversible. All the magic did was prevent any supposed child from seeing OR hearing their fairy godmother or godfather. So even if they were standing right in front of them, they wouldn't be able to communicate. It was a simple yet effective way to put an end to the fairy godmother era.

Imagine Martha's surprise when not only does the MC (who's Sylvian's son) shows up at the house on the exact night he's supposed to bang Marnie, but comes to find out (not on the first night) that he is also a Godson (someone extremely powerful magically). The extreme unrealistic circumstance has actually happened.

Marnie and Martha tell each other everything, but Marnie never told her that she found out that her Godchild is a Godson, she only told Jennifer and Lorraine, which is why Marnie tells Jennifer at the beginning of the game not to tell the MC anything. Fairies always know the name of their Godchild and who their parents are, but not what the child looks like as they can't see them or even communicate. They can't even reach the current world, but Marnie, Lorraine and Martha are all here. That's a secret later revealed in the game.

How this plays into the Sex Addict Route

If you're playing the sex addict route, you already know you can bang Marnie on the first night. This effectively frees Sylvian from his prison inside his own mind, which now leads to this scene after you finish banging Marnie on the first night......

Sylvian's personality is one I think you guys will find interesting. He's very charismatic, dapper, witty, and a master of charm, often using his quick wit and sense of humor to disarm others, even in tense situations. He frequently tells stories and parables, often weaving them into his conversations to make a point or distract from the point. It's a very off-the-wall kind of personality for a crime lord, which I really enjoy writing.

If you bang Marnie on the first night, you automatically free him. If you don't bang Marnie on the first night, he's locked for the rest of the game and he'll never appear or help you in anyway. Also, why is the MC nude? Because you just got done banging Marnie! You can tell him this and he'll have a good laugh about it.

Quick: I'd like to take this time to congratulate myself on making the most realistic teeth shader in any game ever. Look at those teeth! REAL!

Anyway, the point of this is to have a character that is specific to the evil route, sort of as a reward. Note that you can play the evil route still and NOT free him, which means you'll just have to NOT bang Marnie on the first night.

Is it a good idea to free him? Well, just know he puts you first and foremost in his mind and cares for you deeply, as you're his only child.
