[Weekly Development Update #50] + Marnie Animation Preview

New dev update!

Here's the next redone animation. Much better than the previous, more fluid, and nice variation.

There are currently 3 routes in the game:

• Dominant Sexual Deviant (Considered the "Evil" path)

• Nice Guy (Considered the "Good" path)

• Total Loser (Considered the "Good" path still but will give you terrible outcomes and the worse ending)

Godson is absolutely an Adult VN, but it's also an RPG (just with no free-roam as pointless clicking around is boring). The themes of the game are Modern Times (current) mixed in with Steampunk/Medieval. The sex animations will reflect the above routes based on what route you're playing. So even if you're quote on quote, having sex with a "Good" character, but you're playing the "Evil" path, the sex animations will be much more dominant on your side. I don't really like the Mass Effect style where every character can go good or bad based on how you're playing and they just follow you to the end. KOTOR did this right, and so did Baldur's Gate 3. Some characters are good, and some are evil, period. I still remember Carth from KOTOR, ditching you when he finds out you're just trying to go back to being the Dark Lord of the Sith (sorry for the spoilers if you've never played KOTOR. But if you haven't, wtf are doing?? Go play it!). Baldur's Gate 3 did it perfectly too where some characters were straight evil, some were in the middle, and some were only good.

Here's the breakdown of some characters and their alignments:

• Marnie (Evil)

• Martha (Evil)

• Lorraine (Good)

• Nina (In the middle, but has evil intentions, like Shadowheart from BG3)

• Bianca (Good)

• Jennifer (Insanely Evil)

• Victoria (Good)

At the beginning of the game before the party, the only way to bang Marnie and Martha is to go the sexual deviant route. This is because *SPOILER - DO NOT CLICK IF YOU DON'T WANT IT SPOILED*. Don't let Marnie's personality fool you, and it'll become much more apparent of Marnie and Martha's intentions during the party. To be clear, you can't bang Marnie or Martha, at all ever, if you aren't playing the sexual deviant route. Marnie's personality comes off as a nice, kind older woman who is very dense (low IQ) but evil at the same time.

These routes aren't a "change", this is how the game is designed. I'm just making it more clear. There's been some "why are we banging characters so early?" type questions. Now that I'm explaining it fully, it should make sense now. Banging Lorraine so early was a mistake though.

How do I know what route I'm playing?

You'll know. I don't really want some menu where you can see how evil or nice you're being. It should be obvious.

How many more animations do you have left to do?

We have approximately 7 more to do. So at best, we're looking at a release sometime in April. The animations we have left are:

• 1 deepthroat scene with Marnie

• 4 sex animations with Martha.

• 1 nude twerking animation with Martha (in a bath towel)

• 1 remade walking animation with Marnie at the beginning of the game - where she leaves her room to go upstairs and you see her walking with no clothes on.

Notable Changes

• No More Marnie At Work - Marnie at work is no longer in the game. The 2 sex animations from it will be re-rendered with the current Marnie model and added to the scene at the beginning of the game where you bang Marnie in your room. So instead of that scene just having 2 sex animations, it'll have 6 instead. The Nina twerking scene will be bonus content you can view at the end of the next version. Kyle is still in the game, just not yet.

• You can't make Marnie your girlfriend so early on anymore. - This will happen at the party instead, but only if you're playing the Total Loser route. If you're going for the Nice Guy route, you can't become her boyfriend. If you're playing the Sexual Deviant route, then she can become "something else" to you later down the line as well as having the option to marry her. Also, the scene where you tell Marnie that you won't pay for the pizza unless you have sex with her again is removed. Instead, that dialogue option is replaced with asking Marnie to tell her mother (Martha) that it's okay to have sex with you. This might seem like Martha refuses to bang unless she knows Marnie is okay with it (which is true), given who you are to Marnie. However, choosing this option makes them both realize you're not someone who backs down easily and you do what you want, which would be a problem for them.

• Lorraine sex scenes removed - Already said this, but that scene is removed.
