Thank you + secret news

Hello sweet people !

I have never published any "twitchat donator" specific news so far, here is the first one !

First of all, I wanted to thank you all for your montly support. That is more than appreciated and it really helps keeping me working on this project <3

As some of you may know from the Discord server or my Twitter, I'm recoding at least half of Twitchat's codebase.

What I haven't much explained yet is the reason why.
The only reason given is that there was lots of "spaghetti code". I've coded head down for months with no real plans for the features I wanted to add next, and the structure of it wasn't ideal for that. While still being far from clean on some major parts it was doing the job and I was able to add all the features I wanted.

BUT, and that's the point of this message, I'd like to add something on Twitchat that just isn't possible without first eating up all those spaghetti, cleaning up the plate and recoding everything.

Twitch now allows everyone to stream on other platforms, and I feel like it would be something quite important for Twitchat to handle.
Having all streaming platforms on one single chat with all Twitchat's features may make multi-platform streaming smoother.
There already are platforms doing that but none that I know deeply integrates with the platforms as Twitchat does with Twitch.

To make it clearer, my plan is to make it possible for Twitchat to also display your Youtube chat, than maybe Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook,...
For now I'm focusing on simply making Twitcaht back on its feet. After 3 weeks of breaking everything up, I can finally run Twitchat again and start testing and fixing every broken parts (what a fun time...)
Once that'll be done I'll probably add some small features (see #todo channel on discord) and then I'll try to integrate Youtube chat as a first test.

Let's be honnest, this is a colossal work that has to be done...

After 3 weeks of refactoring I barely have put Twitchat in the state it was before. I'm hoping to achieve that first step within 2 or 3 weeks, then the real thing will start and it should take at the very least a month or two to get a beta version.
I'd like to get that by the end of this year.
But, I have another activity aside (I create puzzle boxes) that will take LOTS of my time during the next weeks as I've had many orders and these take a lot of time to create... i basically have at the very least 1 month of full time work.
I'm trying to do this the day and Twitchat the evenings/nights, so far I'm keeping up the pace, but that slows down my progress on Twitchat.

Will I achieve it?

At least, you know that the lack of updates is not due to a lack of ideas and bugs to fix (i've discovered quite some during the refactoring ^^')
