because as soon as ardyns dead so is Noct

im def feeling its more the latter
Im just imagining Prompto sealing himself an ardyn away somewhere
And Ardyn cant kill Prompto because he'll be eternally trapped
But he can torture him to release them
Except he should know Proms resolve when it comes to Noct by now
Noct and the bros have to find him but theres no point finding him if he cant find a way out of dying
because Prom wont allow it

if it was some agreement he had with Shiva
Which is her getting her revenge on Ardyn
but also a bit of a middle finger to the Lucii because of how Lunas fate was
And she knows theres a way around it
I kind of imagine her putting Prom into some kind of stasis
To save his mind after a while
she hadnt expected ardyn to go so hard
All the other summons refuse to rat out Shiva too
Theyve had enough of being pawns
