It's been a while! I've been doing a lot of art digitally and sharing it in other posts, so its taken me a while to get enough pages to make a traditional post. I hope you enjoy <3!
Lots of diary elements below, as well as location photos, I never really know if that's something people are into, but it's fun to make and look back on!

I had a terrible not good visit to York (the nearest city) but amongst the transport cancellations and unexpected closures of all my planned activities I WAS at least able to go into a church and hang out. I honestly think I am probably some flavour of autistic and like, all my plans going wrong broke me. So it was nice to find somewhere warm and calm and feel kind of allowed to just sit. I feel like most social settings make me nervous (do I need to buy another drink? Am I in someone's way??) so I'll remember this next time I'm in York. I'm not religious, but I kinda feel like for me drawing is quite reverent, I fucking love like...life, the world. Observation drawing is kind of how I express my love for things, and I always feel more peaceful afterwards.
Some quick drawings! The farmer came over to see what I was doing and I told him I was drawing, and that his tractor was 'lovely'. The very normal tractor full of manure. I'm sooo good at conversation. I did think it was a good angle and a good colour in fairness but I did not manage that many words lol.
The cows in this barn are always really curious, and come right up to try and sniff (or eat) whatever I'm holding lol.
Some excellent food lately, I love getting to make stew when it's cold outside! The last pic is from a day when I ended up walking 7 miles and the pub I was going to stop at for a rest and a snack was closed haha! I got my partner to make me a mega lunch ready for when I got home.
It was so beautiful that day and I took full advantage, looping through the villages nearby. I also saved a tired bumblebee from the road, and flipped some snowdrops upside down so it could drink without having to hang on.
When I got back I think I napped, and then went right back out to read near a stream before the sun vanished, I scrambled along the bank to find somewhere hidden off the path, it was great.
These are done in water soluble graphite, it was really interesting! It kind of moves, in a way that paint doesn't. The particles are heavy, so they kind of need pushing round!
These guys were just babies! They were so cute, sadly there was a stream between us so I couldn't get closer.
More babies! I sat on the floor and waited for the little calf to come over, it took a while but eventually it got curious >:). I may have pushed through a hedge to get a better look at the foal...worth the scratches.
I am very very excited to be painting green grass without dulling down the colour to make it look wintry. Spring!!!
Listen I may not have good people skills but I am winning the animals over. Also a photo where it was so warm I had to take my coat and jumper off, fucking insane!
Some incredibly cool haunted buildings from a walk recently! It was all marshy and kind of magical. It's right on a train crossing, so maybe the little brick hut with the fireplace used to be for rail staff.
My little downstairs drawing area has expanded :P, I got a cute rolling cart so I could actually put my supplies and paper next to me.I also organised my stickers into that big file >:) I'm very excited about it all.
I hope you all have some good weather, and that you're all doing well <3. Thank you as always for the incredible support, I'm so grateful I get to live like this.
