Cliff & Father Eugene- misc doodles!
Added 2025-02-17 15:57:24 +0000 UTCI don't think either of them have pets at the moment, Cliff maybe had a family dog in the past, and Eugene doesn't want an outside commitment/distraction from the church (oops... hi cliff).
I had SO much fun with those chibis...I've never really succeeded in a cartoony style before so I'm very excited about it. I was absolutely inspired to try again by those conclave chibis...but I didn't want to just take that style so I tried to mix and match! I don't know if I succeeded with the top right ones haha, but they are some of my favs...
Imagine if that little side doodle of eugene lifting cliffs cassock was chibi...I think it'll be really useful for silly extras- I always want them to be cartoony, but never quite manage to keep it past the sketch stage.
Not entirely sure whether to hold tumblr asks back for early access on here or not, it feels a bit odd to withold answers haha. I'll maybe post them there soonish!
If I get asks from patreon I'll totally keep those here for a bit longer.
I have two longer things I'm working on- a caught in a snowstorm sequence, and ofc the next in the series with cliff going to help Eugene in the mornings >:). (and. the confession booth nsfw, part 1 tomorrow!)
I am very uh, fixated, locked in, I have Endless ideas and mental energy and I know I physically cannot match it haha! However! I'm very lucky that this is my job so at least they're not competing with other work >:3.

In this case, it's a true grit beat tone brush, it's not got pressure or anything so I just blob it around. around the bunny I just got a tiny eraser and scribbled around, it looked better than I expected! I do often use the plain (included) clip studio version though, I just select an area and drag it in from the basic material tab, which sets the tone sheet on a mask layer- so it shows up where u paint, and you can use whatever brush to shape it (tho...I still just use a flat round tbh)

When I was a kid I had a pet bunny (Max), and I asked if I could bring it to church on Easter so the other kids could play with it. Mom and the Sunday school teacher thought it would be fun, and it was. After mass my mom says, "You should ask Father Nolan to bless your bunny." And I'm like, "...what?" She says again, "Ask him to bless your bunny." "... Really, you think he'll do it?" "Oh yeah, priests love it when you ask them stuff like that." So I walked up to Father Nolan and politely asked if he would bless my bunny and he got like... Legitimately very excited. Great big grin on his face, he has me hold it while he lays his hands on it and spitballs a prayer that I don't remember exactly, but the words, "Lord, bless this bunny" were involved. This was over 20 years ago, so obviously my childhood bunny is gone, and Father Nolan actually passed away two years ago. The memory still makes me smile though. Maybe Nolan and Max saw each other in heaven. I dunno. In any case, thank you for bringing be back to that moment.
