[Spice] Character Poll
Added 2024-10-25 13:16:07 +0000 UTCI’m kind of craving something new to work on, help me decide which to do first!
Widowed milf/young butch-
Vibes are clumsy eager butch falling over herself to help a milf in need - and getting wrapped around her finger.
’Oh I sure could use a young helper around the place, but people will talk if I hire a young man, me being widowed and all.’
Vaguely 1860’s? We are ignoring the gender restrictions a little… I want a scruffy short haired butch.
-----------
Repressed priest/rent boy-
Vibes are a well meaning (repressed) priest, entirely unprepared for the provocations of a young gay man recently returned home to live with his family after time away.
‘Your mother has expressed concern for your immortal soul, if you feel the need to talk to someone, or to confess, I am always here for you.’
-1970’s/80s(?!)
I am going to try very hard Not to go overboard with the historical accuracy. If I let myself get too into it I end up spending hours in research about what kind of light fixtures would be period appropriate when I’m supposed to be drawing hole…
I’m also not sure if these are gonna be UK or USA but we will see…I’m leaning to USA because I’ve been watching a lot of movies set in those periods lately. Also midnight mass… father paul… sweats. I know zero american history and also have no religious background so it’s gonna be Fun.
Neither of these are going to be heavily plot based or chronological, but I wanted to get a decent setting down. I find that when I get stuck into the plot too much it becomes 'I've drawn them having sex, the sexy tension is gone now, where do I go from here?' you know?

Apologies that I didn't reply! I suppose more what I mean is that I don't want it to be as... focal as it might be, in reality, if a woman was entirely dressed as a man. I'm thinking like Sarah in Patience and Sarah- at the start she was the family 'boy' since they had no sons haha. I want someone who doesn't fit at all, rather than masculine within acceptable feminine limits. (Like. how they often are in media.) Mostly I know that if I get too into trying to represent an accurate history I'll never get anything made haha, thank you for the reassurance that it probably doesn't matter as much as I think, though!

2024-12-03 12:53:31 +0000 UTCDont worry too much re: historical accuracies for that butch haircut -- theres actually a lot of women who sported short hair across a ton of time periods, even when long hair was more "culturally appropriate". Photos of em exist, they just aren't typically the ones that are used/shown as representative of the period and therefore can... i don't wanna say "mislead" but they can certainly imply that short butchy hair is too anachronistic for 1800s America (and possibly even UK), but don't let them lie to you!!
