Watercolour Lunoct Process. In list form more than pics - aka what not to do.

Because I already had an image to work from it was mostly just a case of breaking it down into steps.

I started with the circles - I searched the kitchen until I found 2 circles i could draw around - which is why you see a starwars cup in some pics.

Then I got hungry so i got toast and ate that while Chloe worked

I used masking tape and ruined one of Chloe's brushes - which to be fair they were cheap as chips and got me back many more times with little hairs falling out into my picture so...it had it coming.

While removing the masking tape I tore a chunk out of the page which you can see in the upper left white corner. Gently rub....don't pull.

So I did the circle, then I drew Luna in. Honestly I made her smaller than I intended and trying to detail her tiny af face was a nightmare with watercolours

BUT I DID IT

Accidentally gave her a bit of a chin....damn traditional media...

So then I freehanded most of the flowers and stuff. I constantly had a tissue in hand to dab anywhere i messed up. I don't know what I did with all my paintbrushes but i clearly threw them out somewhere along the line so I was mostly using waterbrushes - I had a fine and a medium.

Theyre much easier to use imo.

I was able to use the fine one to do the numbers with relative ease.

I used a little bit of gold and then failed at flicking it a few times so ended up with it all over ym thumb rather than on the page so then i just dotted it on with the brush.

I used a white gelpen to do the little white dots and that was pretty much it

Oh and I have a lovely 0.005 neopiko brown liner which is what I used for luna - its actually YEARS old but still works a dream.
