Update on Patreon n Adopts

Heyo all. Ok so a lot of stuff has been happening since I last made a update post, one aspect was about me using patreon to post art going forward. So I want to address that now. It's kind of a long read so please bear with me

A lot of you may know that Tumblr is banning all sexual content off their platform in a few days, pretty dumb imo and I expect the site to crash n burn because of it.

But honestly I feel like it's going to become a trend soon and I wouldn't be surprised if Twitter and Patreon follow suit eventually.

Then I find out that there is bill or law called Sesta/Fosta aimed at stopping sex trafficking on the internet which I think everyone is all for stopping. But from what I've read about it tho is that it will allow websites to be sued for having sexual content on their sites. And to curb this Tumblr, knowing the bill was coming started early at kicking everyone out, instead of cleaning up the real offenders of CP on their site. Just laziness really

I'm not sure if this will really make sites like Patreon and Twitter start deleting users but it's something that I'm trying to prepare and work around if it happens.

One artist I know of got his Ko-fi account suspended the other day because somehow Ko-fi found out that it linked to his nsfw twitter.

It's really hard to tell what triggers these suspensions at times because there is little to no warning.

So I've been heavily debating whether I should remove the content from my patron and just have it strictly as a tip jar so it has no seeable affiliation with nsfw content. But just my supporters or fans would know. It's a lot of jumping thru hoops imo but I feel like things are gonna get more unstable for nsfw content then stable. So if it does it's good to have a backup plan I feel.

And I've been starting to upload PSD and other art files to MEGA and Dropbox as an emergency archive and to save space until I can get more Harddrives.

Now for adopts, I know some of you are anxiously waiting for a new batch. But I realized after last months flop with the adopts is that I seriously need a breather or a month break from doing them. At least in the rapid amount that I've been pumping them out. I denied my mental health just pumping them out month after month for 6 years by my count, as they basically pay my bills. And I felt I could keep going full steam, but balancing irl crap recently plus trying to be creative has put a damper on my adopt productivity and left me drained in that facet of art in a way.

Am I working on adopts this month? Yes.

Will there be a batch this month? Idk tbh.

I been really wanting to enjoy focusing on commissions and my own personal arts mainly this month.

I've posted tons of stuff to Newgrounds and my Twitter, and you guys support has allowed me some mental space to do that.

So if I don't release adopts this month then what? You might be asking.

And for the other tiers I haven't decided what reward that fits in how I work other then early adopt batches.

If what you came for was mainly the early adopt batch, I can understand if you don't want to be a patron anymore. I said I was going to do something without fully realizing the toll it would put on me, and I might have failed you.

But if you just want to support me and the art I make at any given time, I greatly appreciate it.

Adopts are coming, but just at a pace that is more chill and not so forced. And I think they will be even better for it as I'm been experiment with pushing the envelope of what I usually provide with adopts.

Anyway I think that's all I had on my mind that I wanted to get out.
