2025-07-05 04:57:06 +0000 UTCDespite being violently thrown off a mount, all the issues sustained appear to be some damage to the pauldron, that's either a really good landing or that armour isn't for decoration! From my understanding of the physics here, the forces involved to carve a groove like that through the ground should've been enough to snap basically every bone on her right side, but considering she's clenching her fist, I'd imagine her arm isn't broken. She's very lucky she fell on her arm and not on her head, where she's not wearing armour. Even luckier that she didn't get stuck in the saddle and pinned (possibly crushed!) beneath her mount. One of the biggest killers of mounted troops was basically just breaking your spine/neck or getting stuck underneath your fallen mount after it's killed. It's really hard to properly armour a mount! Even harder to get it to actually move reasonably in a combat situation while it's wearing armour. Can't wait to see if the assailants emerge from the dust and smoke now, or if they'll simply shoot her while she's downed and blinded. That will tell us a lot about what kind of threat they actually consider her to be and if the aim is to capture her specifically (or just kill her outright, though I doubt the latter)...
