Weekly Update - 262 - 3/17/24

Sad Stuff (Skip if you want):
This past week was probably one of the hardest weeks of our lives. So I hope none of you mind if I need another week to regain my bearings and settle back into the usual routine.

Cats make incredible pets, especially when you're a young adult, moving around from apartment to apartment, living and working in various places. They're largely self-sufficient, and they will always be there for you when you get home. Getting a kitten though, it might never occur to you that animal will likely be a part of your life for 15-20 years. Quite possibly one fifth to one fourth of your entire life will be spent in the company of that kitten. Meanwhile, you will be 100% of THEIR life. There's no two ways about it, they will become a part of your soul.

And it hurts. It hurts so, so much to finally let them go when they need you to let go.

But you know what? It's worth it. Having a friend like that is worth every damn minute.

Anyway... things will be back on track soon. Our remaining cat, while he's also getting old, seems to be in perfectly fine health still (though he has been quite depressed about the loss of his friend,) so hopefully we won't need to go through this again for a number of years yet. My husband and I have also already started discussing getting another kitten, a new friend and family member to accompany us through the next chapter of our lives.

Anyway, given the events of this past week, I barely made any progress on Max's dakimakura, or anything for that matter, but I did manage to throw away the previous attempt and draw a much better sketch for the front of it at least. And I'm honestly pretty happy with it so far! So with any luck, I'll be able to make a lot more progress on it THIS week. Planning for some variants as well. Spicy ones!

No comic this week, but getting things back on track.

I've been nagging my husband about the Kiera Character page. As you might imagine, though, he ALSO hasn't felt up to doing anything this week. Understandably so. But we'll get there.

Also Tehra won the last bonus art poll! So some spicy tertiary character art is now in the queue.
