Weekly Update - 225 - 7/1/24

We celebrated 200 pages last week!
I was actually scared to check, cuz I wasn't sure I wanted to know, but some quick math does confirm for me that I'm actually about on pace for my goal of 40 pages a year! We started in 2018, and I've taken a few breaks in that time, and worked on the book and other comics and stuff in the meantime, and as we come up on August I should be at 240 in a perfect world. But this world is far from perfect, and with 20 Riley comics as well, I'll take "pretty close" as a pretty solid win!
Comic this week? Nope! I'm going to bask in my victory and work on clearing out my Art Stack this week.
What's got me dragging my heels on that stuff is I really want to draw something... like... unconventional. Something to really bust me out of my comfort zone. A whacky pose or weird angle or something outrageously DIFFERENT. But... I don't know... how to do that. Which is the whole point, of course, but it makes it extra hard to get started. Where do I start? HOW do I start? I dunno! Gotta figure it out though! And that'll be my goal this week.

So hey! Some of you might have noticed I've started posting the... pre-pre-Alpha notes from the God Slayers TTRPG to Patreon to the $10 tier.
Last week I posted an explanation for the core rule system I'm using for the game. It's a completely custom core ruleset that I believe came straight out of my very own brain parts.
This week I hope to drop a rough example of the game's character sheet, along with some basic explanations for all the things you'll see on it.
Um... that's it! That's all I want to ramble about for now. I have a lot of rambling to do in THAT post, so... I should probably get to it!

I've thought about it, ngl. I guess I've always just been uncertain whether or not it's okay to use other art as a reference. I know people do it all the time, either as a meme or otherwise, but... idk. It's always kinda felt weird to me I guess. I should probably just get over it, lol.

I should update the tags though, since that's what we're all calling him now, but that'll take me some time. In the meantime, most of his appearances are tagged with "?????" so you can find him that way. Spoiler alert: I don't think I've ever once drawn him happy.

I just realized that Snowball doesn't appear in the patreon tags so I can see the images of him. can you fix it please? I was curious to see if Snowball was happy?
