Your frustration throughout this episode was completely warranted. It is disappointing how the decline in the quality of writing / lack of comprehensible conclusions for so many character arcs made the final season feel so inadequate to us fans. The only saving grace in this episode was Clegane's final battle with his brother. So fitting he completes his vengeance by throwing them into the inferno, similarly to how he got his scar in the first place. Easily one of the best character's in the entire show.

Welcome to the pain known as the last three episodes of Game of Thrones. Can you imagine for some of us who followed the show for 8 years, only for it to be thrown in the garbage in a span of three weeks? All that wonderful character development flushed down the toilet.
At least for this episode, Euron and the Mountain met their end. And the touching moment between Sandor and Arya was much needed too.
