Halloween Druid (Rough Sketch WIP)

As an Irish person, I really really love traditional Halloween stuff like bonfires and pagan rituals.
Our Traditional Halloween "Oíche Shamhna" is very much about connecting with spirits and the dead and warding off evil for the coming winter/ celebration of the harvest. Bonfires are a really big thing here, more so than trick or treating or carving pumpkins (irish people traditionally carved turnips, it's a really difficult time cause they are hard as fuck haha. i understand why people moved to pumpkins after a while)
bonfires were a way to ward off evil and guide lost souls to the other side on halloween as it is the time where the veil between worlds was at it's thinnest. the bigger the bonfire, the more it will be seen by the spirits.
Trick or treating is interesting as well because the children used to wear costumes to hide so they won't be stolen by evil spirits and you used to give out food to those who come to the door to make sure the spirits don't curse you.

So basically what i'm saying is i wanted to do a halloween piece that was more old school, with bonfires. because bonfires are awesome. i'm bad at explaining things, but it's worth looking into the history of the holiday because it's cool as fuck and much more spooky than the modern day stuff :)
