Welcome to all new Patrons!!! <3 Thank you so much for jumping in! I was doing some youtube + book-keeping/taxes stuff last week (unfortunately not done with that yet -_- ) But jumping back into finalizing pages now. I reeally hope I can somehow finish this week. Idk if possible lmao, but I will do my best. Which requires frequent self-checks to just stop when my brain loses the plot and starts fixating on every little tiny thing, such as... sharpening the edges of Astrid's earring spikes...

Hello everyone! I've been a bit quiet here, but making HUGE progress. Firstly: GOOD NEWS!! I will start posting chapter 1 pages starting with the intro page right after this post. Hey guys! Mannn the backgrounds are kinda making me want to tear my hair out lolll. I finished inking the characters a few days ago, and now I'm going back through to get the BGs I ignored... a lot of them are too rough so it takes some time to figure things out -_- unfortunately the one off locations I just roughly sketched, which is sooo easy. And then inking over that is absolutely horrendous haha. So close though...

Mann who would have thought that simply going over (tracing w/ modifications) 3D backgrounds would be so EXHAUSTING?! lmao

Hey everyone! Have to move my deadline a bit and just enjoy the Easter weekend :)
I still have to ink 5 pages, but it's coming along great. I'm so excited to share this chapter with you guys sooon. I will definitely be posting pages here once get finalized. I noticed that inking a ton every day has gotten me slightly fatigued and I'm starting to slow down because of it, so seems like a good time to just take the long weekend and finish it refreshed next week.

Hey guys, just popping in with an update. These pages with multiple characters are really testing me x''D I FEEL like I'm trying to keep details minimal, and yet it takes FOREVER to finish a page. It's all the faces, I think. Each face typically takes around 5 minutes or so at least, which adds the f'up... gotta keep motivated 😤
Probably gonna be a bit behind my initial goal deadline, but i'm not gonna go overboard to hit it. Slow and steady 😁

I haven't quite figured out yet where in the process lineless BG elements fit in, so I've skipped some backgrounds. Hopefully I will figure out a proper place in the process for this.

A quick step before jumping into the inking stage was this - completing the opening page with colours to establish the mood/colourcheme. I'm happy with how it turned out!
Having this as the colour reference point will make the process go much smoother. Gonna start inking tomorrow :D

Yay! I hit my first self-imposed deadline slightly ahead of schedule :D
It was a whole journey getting back into drawing comics proper like. It's easy to forget how intensive of an activity it is, but so mentally rewarding! This chapter was 29 pages (technically 29, but 1 page is a single panel so maybe more like 28 but who cares). Guys!!! The struggle has been real. My elbow is STILL healing -_- but it's almost 100%. I was hoping I'm some sort of hyper-fast healer but alas, as the doctor informed me it is actually taking 6-8 weeks to fully heal lol.

I honestly feel a bit overwhelmed at the amount of characters I have to figure out still (normally I don't HAVE to figure out what everybody looks like all at once lol), so it's just taking me a minute... but I've made a lot of progress.
