So what is epic epic_poggers_amogus? It was the old tag for any image that had the dirty action left cropped away and we only saw the legs. With said legs ''hinting heavily'' that they were doing something naughty up there. Examples here: https://e621.net/pools/42908 So behind the scenes in e621 that tag was really really controversial. For a full year it was used and it is a really weird tag. Not directly referencing the meme it spun from (https://e621.net/posts/3657125) And it is absolutely not obvious what the tag is supposed to mean without looking at it. Comment sections were filled with ''what the hell is this poggers thing'' Then one day it suddenly disappeared. What happened? One day almost a year ago a user decided to remove it on the posts that did not directly reference the meme. Can't really blame them. It was a INCREDIBELY bad tag. Sounds good right? bad tag removed and replaced with something better? Nope, they did not add a new tag to replace it with. But poggers was the most known name for this so everyone kept searching and fighting over it. If you go to some of the more popular post in this style you can find 4 months of users fighting adding and subsequently removing epic_poggers_amogus Eventually after several months of couple new tags rising falling and medium intensive tag fights a new one was silently agreed upon: leg_cropped_sex And that is how the tale epic_poggers_amongus ends. And may we never see a tag with such a silly name ever again.
