The Weapon Master Shall Never Die Bare-Handed in Genshin Impact [457]

On the mist-covered ocean, cheerful singing pierced through the thick fog, echoing joyously over the waves.

"Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?" A deep male voice sang playfully.

"SpongeBob SquarePants!" Chimed in a chorus of youthful, feminine voices, full of energy.

"Absorbent and yellow and porous is he!"

"SpongeBob SquarePants!"

"If nautical nonsense be something you wish!"

"SpongeBob SquarePants!"

"Then drop on the deck and flop like a fish!"

"SpongeBob SquarePants!"

"Ready?" called the deep voice, pausing briefly. Then, all voices joined together in enthusiastic harmony.

"SpongeBob SquarePants!"
"SpongeBob SquarePants!"
"SpongeBob SquarePants!"
"SpongeBob SquarePants!"

As the last notes faded away, the male voice concluded with hearty laughter:

"Ah-hah, ha-ha-ha!"
"Ah-hah, ha-ha-har!"

The joyous singing cleared the fog as a small boat broke through the mist, following the lanterns floating gently upon the sea’s surface.

This boat carried none other than Jia Changjiang and his companions.

Jean was still feeling somewhat embarrassed by the whole situation.

She realized that Jia Changjiang was loudly singing these childish songs, even getting Klee involved, likely as a means to alleviate any fear brought about by the dense, ominous fog around them.

Still, such playful songs felt a bit too childish for Jean to comfortably sing along with.

“All right, everyone! Next song!” Jia Changjiang continued enthusiastically into another tune.

With Jia Changjiang’s cheerful singing, the gloomy fog surrounding the boat seemed far less daunting.

Before long, they managed to activate the teleport waypoints on each of the four islands.

Standing together on the final island, the group gazed out at the ocean, noticing how the thick mist that had engulfed the archipelago was gradually lifting. Warm sunlight now filtered down from the sky.

“The fog is disappearing!” Klee cried joyfully.

“It’s beautiful… I had no idea this place was so lovely,” Paimon sighed appreciatively.

“We've lit all four beacons. I wonder what will happen next…” Jean said thoughtfully.

“Come on, Jean. With scenery this beautiful, shouldn’t we enjoy our summer first?” Lumine suggested eagerly, clearly itching to swim in the sea.

“Yes! Klee wants to catch fish!” Klee shouted enthusiastically.

Jean gently cautioned her, “Klee, remember this isn't Mondstadt; you must stay safe.”

“Oh… okay.” Klee nodded obediently, though she quietly whispered to Paimon afterward, “Paimon, when we meet Dodo-King, let’s convince him and then catch fish together!”

“Sure, sure! Whatever you say,” Paimon responded indulgently.

“Funny how Paimon usually acts childish, but in front of Klee, she suddenly seems mature,” Lumine teased.

“Hey! Who are you calling childish?!” Paimon protested loudly.

Jean turned serious once more, “Let’s not let our guard down completely. Although it might seem unfair to Klee, my priority remains everyone’s safety. Only afterward will we deal with this Dodo-King.”

“Don’t worry, Jean. With me here, it’ll be fine,” Jia Changjiang assured confidently. “I’ll stay with Klee to keep her safe, and scout out the surrounding area at the same time.”

“We finally have a chance to relax. Jean, you don’t have to be so tense all the time,” Jia Changjiang said gently. “Besides, a bit of fish-blasting from Klee won’t cause any trouble here. Let her enjoy herself.”

“That’s right! It’s like a rare holiday! Jean, you should relax too!” Lumine chimed in enthusiastically.

“Well… alright,” Jean agreed with a gentle sigh. “Then please look after her, Mister Jax.”

Barbara gazed around in wonder. “We might not know much about these islands yet, but the beauty of summer here really shouldn’t be missed.”

“All right, come on, Klee!” Jia Changjiang cheerfully scooped Klee up, placing her securely on his shoulder. “Let’s go blast some fish!”

“Yay!” Klee shouted gleefully at the promise of her favorite activity.

“I’ll scout the area then,” Jean volunteered.

“I’ll go with si—I mean, Acting Grand Master Jean!” Barbara quickly followed after her.

Lumine glanced between the two sisters, thinking briefly before deciding not to disturb their rare time alone. She instead turned and ran after Jia Changjiang and Klee.

“Klee! I’ll help you catch fish too!”

After an exciting afternoon of fish-blasting, they enjoyed a hearty dinner of freshly caught fish.

Jean, Barbara, and Klee then experienced their first time entering Lumine and Jia Changjiang’s Serenitea Pot.

“Wow! It’s so big!” Klee squealed excitedly, running across the grassy plains.

“So this is the power of Liyue’s adepti... It’s incredible,” Jean murmured thoughtfully, gazing at the vast mountains around them.

Indeed, as expected from Liyue—the oldest nation in Teyvat—its deep heritage and power were incomparable.

“Welcome, guests, to the Serenitea Pot. I am Tubby, the steward here.” Tubby greeted Jean and Barbara politely.

“Please follow me; your rooms have already been arranged,” Tubby smoothly guided Jean and Barbara to their accommodations.

Since Klee was still young, Jia Changjiang arranged for her to stay in Jean’s room, with Barbara’s room nearby.

Lumine quietly clicked her tongue in mild annoyance at this arrangement, disappointed that her sneaky plan to feign sleeplessness and visit Jean’s room during the night was now ruined.

She couldn’t possibly pull such a trick in front of Klee, after all.

After a simple dinner of homegrown vegetables and grilled fish from within the Serenitea Pot, the group retired peacefully to their rooms.

The night passed without incident.

Early the next morning, Lumine yawned sleepily and stepped outside, only to find Jean already up and practicing sword movements diligently.

“You’re training so early, Jean?” Lumine asked curiously.

“It’s just habit from waking up at the same time as usual. I wasn’t sure what else to do…” Jean replied earnestly. “Since you’re awake now, Lumine, I’ll go wake everyone else so we can—”

“Jean,” Lumine interrupted sweetly, a playful smile on her face, “don’t you think wearing that outfit on vacation is a bit stuffy? It’s summer now, after all!”

She grinned slyly. “Let’s change into something more fitting for summer, Jean!”
