This is a little older (from march 2018), but I couldn't bring it further and it's a delicate topic so I didn't want to put it out there.

It's inspired by a book I've read about the relationship of a 13 year old boy with a 30 years old man. The boy always walked by his house over summer vacation, that's how they met.

2018-08-31 07:15:45 +0000 UTCIch wurde am anfang ganz böse, als ich deine Antwort lies. Ich schrieb sogar ein langer Kommentar dazu. Doch ich dachte es wäre eine gute Idee das Buch vorher zu lesen, damit ich mich nicht über was äußerte wovon ich nichts wusste. Mensch, bin ich naiv. Es ist irgendwie peinlich nach den ganzen Warnungen einzuräumen, dass ich auf »Die Sache mit Peter« total schlecht reagiert habe. Das Buch hat mich seelisch vollkom zerstört und mich dann auch Herzrasen und noch schlimmeres beigebracht. Ich habe drei mal in 24 Stunden geduscht. Das Buch ist halt erschreckend realistisch. Ich könnte so viele ähnlichen (und genau so peinlichen) Geschichten aus meiner Kindheit erzälen. Deswegen fühlte es sich immer so an, als stand ich in seinen Schuhen. Auch wärend den Vergewaltigungen. (Obwohl ich sowas selbt nie erlebt habe.) Ich hätte nie in meinem Leben gedacht, dass in mir so eine Reaktion ausgelöst werden könnte. Scheiße. Ich geh' nochmal duschen. Danach was schönes, asexuelles, lesen.

2018-08-30 02:07:41 +0000 UTC"Die Sache mit Peter" ("The thing with Peter" ... badly translated) by Max Meier-Jobst. I think it's only available in German though. The boy tells the story of his youth and his relationship with Peter during the summer he turned 14. Left me in a chaotic sate of feels and I still think about it a lot.

2018-08-29 08:56:06 +0000 UTCI'm happy the heavy and endless atmosphere of summer comes through! I find that hard to capture. They didn't have a bad/abusive relationship. Although there lingers some kind of "is this really ok?" over the whole thing.

It reminds me of those endless summer days when the sun just barely dips beneath the horizon, dyeing everything gold. Though when I am reminded of the subject matter, the otherwise homey and nostalgic athmosphere leaves a bit of a rotten aftertaste. Context is everything I guess.
