New animation project, Blender and.. things!

Last week your fellow Patrons (who were allowed to vote) decided what animation project I would work on next. The last project was lewd/NSFW, so I opted for a couple vore-themed options this turn around.

Blender Progress Part 6

Well that looks cozy, doesn't it?

This was rendered in Blender's Eevee and not Redshift, Eevee is a free renderer that comes with Blender (also free!), not that cost is that much of a concern, its neat to see what it can do.

The going is slow, but I should be able to start rendering in a week or so, either way once this project is done, it'll finally be project-voting time again!

Blender Progress Part 4

Part four of me gushing about Blender. My modeling powers continue to increase unchecked, who could have guessed I would be able to replace Maya as a modeling tool within a month, haha, not me!

I was given a (very) basic course on Rigging (and materials) in Blender, so while I'm nowhere ready to rig my own characters in Blender, the scary introduction part is over! Once I complete the modeling phase of the animation, I'll be ready to dive into that more or less full-time, outside of my animation duties that is..

Rig updates.. continued!

Chonky was due an update too. While serviceable, many controls were overlapping / confusing and others simply weren't used often but always visible and creating visual chaos as a result.

Then there was the collar which didn't even have a control to allow it to be moved / rotated around the neck.

Since another animator will soon be using the Chonky rig as part of our to be announced collaboration I had to dive in there and make him usable to someone who didn't literally build it....

Rig updates

With the help of Adam I've further improved the mouth rig on Spyro, working towards a more dynamic and natural type of motion, instead of the usual stiff up-and-down animation.

It is still a work in progress, but aside from having a greater acting range already, he should also be able to sync to actual dialogue in the future!

I had a run in with Corvid-19 that kept me out of the fight for a brief spell but I am back and doing *all* the face rigging. The purple dragon will be the first character of mine to be able to express himself properly, I'm learning a lot in the process and future character updates will introduce these upgrades to their faces, too!

"Legend's tail" - Concept render /rig test

Alternative name: "Slutbox".

I needed to put the new bottom and slit/equipment rig through its paces in order to find any shortcomings I missed while creating them, so I set out to pose something "likely" to be animated, which is really the only way to test these things.

I found some shortcomings and issues, although nothing to ruin these renders or keep this concept from possibly being turned into an animation down the line.  For now, these renders will have to do.
