EN/ Weekly News #107

The Weekly News is back!

To quickly explain the absence of news last week: we had to find a solution to a bug in one of our software that took us all weekend, with driver installation, Windows update, and other reinstallations. We didn't manage to fix the problem, but we eventually figured out how to work despite that. We are sorry for this absence and hope you understand that we preferred to rest and wait for the next news.

Another thing that has been impacting the production a lot lately is that Zack has been sick with Covid and even though he tried to work at first, he ended up having to rest. He's now back on his feet and pumped to work.

So, in spite of all these adventures, be aware that the next version is progressing.

Sunny has made good progress on the epic cutscene and should finish it this coming week. She has also finished the 3D model of a character that you certainly can't wait to kick the butt of and who will be a major element of the end of the prologue.

In Art, we've also started working on an NPC creation system that will allow us to create "ordinary" inhabitants to populate the working-class district and make it livelier, without having to spend as much time on it as on the main and secondary characters. This system will not be present in this version because with all that has happened, we prefer to focus on what is important, so we don't release the version in too long.

As for Zack, he made some progress on writing the dialogues before he got sick. While he was recovering, he put that task on hold and moved on to programming to set up what is needed to make the flashback more interactive.

So, we are still working hard to bring you a great version with Holly! Thank you all for your support and we'll see you all without fail next week!
