welcome back to Swift Guitar Lessons for another by request song tutorial. In today's session I've broken down how to play Neil Young's 1972 classic "Needle and the Damage Done." In this lesson you'll learn how to play Neil's instrumental cross picking techniques, before tackling basic strumming and lead techniques for the verse sections. Let's get started!

2020-05-17 04:19:40 +0000 UTCHey Stephen, the only way to develop picking accuracy is slow, patient, and careful repetition. Most players practice in an endless loop of sloppy repetitions, thinking that eventually it will clean itself up... that method leads to frustration and bad habits. So slow things down, and make sure that every repetition is perfect as you gradually increase the tempo. I also recommend “chunking,” or fully mastering one small bit at a time.
2020-05-16 12:54:04 +0000 UTCIs there any cunning secret to hitting the right strings. I know that we're encouraged to hit a couple of strings in this but I still have a lot of trouble hitting the right ones... It always sounds terribly messy...

Also for Randy, that line refers to when you shoot up heroin, you pull back a little blood into the syringe to know you are in the vein, then push the drug, hence milk blood. Dont ask why I know that :)
