1,5,4 Blues Soloing Trick - Mini Lesson

Hey friends,

Today I'm busy working on a few different projects; updating my beginner's ebook, a lesson on diminished chords, and a new premium exercise series. As I finish that work, I thought I'd better share this lead guitar concept before I forget it. In this mini-lesson, I break down how to target the chords in a 1.5.4 country or blues progression using just the G and B strings. This is a great way to add a little chromaticism to your playing, and breakout of the typical pentatonic boxes. Expect an extended lesson on this subject in the coming days. Have fun!

P.S. Have any questions? I'd love to hear them in the comments section below!

What do you recommend to take care of your hands? And what not to do? Thanks,, Rob.

Hi Rob Excellent, do you plan on making more mini lessons? really great.

Haha, I wouldn't wish them on anyone. Both hands have chronic trigger finger at this point. I've learned my lesson, it's so important to take care of your hands!

Any chance I could borrow your fingers? 😜

My pleasure, this is what the tab link looks like on the desktop version.

The image above shows where tabs are located on the app. Note that this particular lesson doesn’t have tabs, as I will be posting a more comprehensive tutorial on the subject.

I can't find them either!! Don't seem to be any links on this one

Hey Rene, be sure to watch the orientation video you should have received after joining. Tabs are available in the form of attachments on each post, they should appear as small orange font at the bottom of the post description.

I like your tips and playing and I'm picking up what I can from your videos, but I'm still trying to find how to get the tab sheets for what you're playing. Can't find them anywhere.
