How to Play a Jazz Blues Progression on Guitar

Hello friends,

and welcome back to Swiftlessons for another rhythm guitar tutorial. In today's session I'll be showing you how to perform a standard 12 bar progression in a Jazz-Blues style. Together we'll review the basic blues version of the progression, before adding in jazzy voicings, passing chords, and substitutions. Let's get started!

Thanks! What about a lesson how to get into soloing over such a progression? Does typical Blues-stuff sound good (licks etc.) or which scale to use to get out of the pentatonic box etc... Cheers Jürgen

Thanks, Brother! Great lesson and a nice transition out of stock 12BB. Just enough theory to keep everyone honest . Nice. I'll be fooling around with this for a while. Cheers!
