Percussive Hit Rhythm Guitar Tutorial

Hello friends,

In response to a great question from your fellow Patron JoAnn, I'm posting an archive lesson that sums up how to perform a key percussive element to rhythm guitar.  In this session I break down the "percussive hit," a technique that emulates the sound of a snare drum, adding dynamics to even the most complex strumming patterns for guitar. Let's get started!

I'll be sure to provide an updated lesson on this subject in the near future!

You should use the search feature of YouTube instead. Look for search under the "swiftlessons" channel and you can refine your search using year, words, tags etc.

It's probably your browser settings. Make sure you are not using the browser in incognito mode and have cookies enabled for patreon.com

Hey Bruce, unfortunately Patreon has not built a useable search bar. I just attended their yearly event called patrecon and had the opportunity to make this request directly. Until the site’s navigation is updated, here are my tips for finding specific post: If you're looking for a specific lesson, you can narrow your searches by tag, date posted, or level of patronage via my creator post feed at: <a href="https://www.patreon.com/swiftlessons/posts.">https://www.patreon.com/swiftlessons/posts.</a> Links to Patreon post can also be found in my YouTube video descriptions. I also recommend that you bookmark your favorite post for easier access. Have fun!

Rob, Is there a search function for just your lessons? When I try to find one I have to scroll through a year's worth of posts to find it.

Lessons are great. However, every time I log in I have to go through a verification e-mail which is very frustrating when all I want to do is get to the lesson! I'm so fed up with this I am thinking of quitting my subscription. Can something be done about this log-in requirement?

Great lesson! Would love to see more of your older lessons get highlighted like this.

Thanks Rob I will keep at it....
