The Everly Brothers "Bye Bye Love" - Lesson, Tab & Chords

Hello friends,

As many of you know, I've been busy creating a new premium music theory course called "Mastering Major Keys." Since I didn't have time to create a song tutorial this week, I decided to put together a new tab and chord sheet for my 2015 lesson on The Everly Brothers 1957 classic "Bye Bye Love." I still have several videos in the Swiftlessons archive that need resources, so expect a few more additions in the immediate future. Have fun!

I like the muting in the intro riff. It will take me a bit of practice to get intro up to speed!

I would like to request “The Sounds of Silence”. The above request link is dead.

Thank you again! Really appreciate it!

It's my pleasure, enjoy your practice, this is a lovely tune!

Then the chorus: C //// | D //// | Em //// | Em/F# // Em/G // | 2X Then under "you give me the furniture and divide the photographs" she plays C //// | D //// | G //// | Em //// | //// | - then the rest of the chorus is just Cmaj as she sings about having dinner and a few more laughs.

lolol

I LOVE YOU!!!!!

Hey Stacy, sure. Capo on 7th fret. Gmaj //// | //// Cmaj7 //// | //// Am7 //// | //// | //// | G //// | :

Hey there. I am new and happy to be here... Have a question...anyway to tell me what chords this song is picking? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkLEIvoTE7A

Sorry, I got cut off. I was only a finger picker and having to play with and learn keeping time with a pick is a God-send. Please continue doing what you do best. Thanks.

Hey Rob. Thanks for all your wonderful teaching and exemplary playing. I am working on "Let it Be" and "Here, There, and Everywhere." I haven't mentioned this before but I am a 65 y-o man. There is nerve damage in my picking hand from the neck. I cannot twist a radio dial but can hold a pick. I love it. I have to flat-pick and don't have good use of the picking fingers. I have looked at your "Bar Chords" but still have trouble with a full F. My hand doesn't hold down the B and high E strings well. Going from a G minor to a C minor, I lose the low C note.

Another fun and concise lesson by Mr. Swift! Thanks! I'll voter for "Wake up" because America needs to do that just NOW!

Hey Barry, you’re very welcome! I’m hoping to dig into their catalog a bit, maybe teach “All I Have to Do is Dream” or “Wake up Little Susie.”

This was one of the first songs that I learned back when I was a wee lad! Thanks for bringing it back.
