She didn't want to have scars, so she chooses to wear a Milwaukee brace for the few next years. But before her Milwaukee brace will be ready, she needs to wear a Risser's body plaster cast, which both will help with her scoliosis, and also will prepare her psychologically for her new life which will include wearing a body brace full time.
