Mana Tanks
Added 2025-04-27 15:19:41 +0000 UTCA quick little project between bigger ones to keep the energy strong, I decided a quick piece of Amane was in order. This was partially a test on the suggestion of a friend, starting with the shadows instead of the lights and then painting on the bright areas. I didn't go all out with it, but I think this will help me understand lighting a little more as I keep working.
Getting this completed in quite a short time (estimated around 3 hours, excluding any time away or distractions) felt quite nice, and I think doing simpler pieces like this between bigger things will help keep my morale up, something I have been seriously struggling with during this seasonal depression. I hope I can keep reminding myself of that, because as is evidently clear, creating something simple is better than creating nothing at all!
I hope you all enjoy! I hope to feature more of my characters just as I had done early last year, and perhaps get some work done on some newer designs.
