I'm definitely aiming for a healthy portrayal of relationships with it's own problems. Personally I don't mind misunderstandings in a love story, but it shouldn't be about stupid or unnecessary things. And love that you noticed that about Holly's character as well! Just because someone might be on a more submissive end that doesn't mean they can't be confident, clear or direct with what they want. Again, thanks for commenting that, it means a lot to me :)

2022-02-20 14:28:41 +0000 UTCI love this so much! I actually like that Blaze's response to what she perceived as reluctance was to back off and not push it. She respected (what she thought were) Holly's feelings and even was wiling to give her space at work. She didn't seem to have any hard feelings, or blame Holly for "mixed signals" or anything like that. And Holly's response was great; she's *furious* that Blaze might think Holly is anything other than totally into her, or that Holly's reaction is any critique of Blaze herself. And I really like that, despite being "masochistic" and having obvious struggles with intimacy (that we're about to learn more about!), Holly is assertive and not afraid of laying out what she wants.
