Stannis came from Bravvos by ship with the army through Eastwatch by the sea (another abandoned castle on the far right of Castle Black, manned by only a tiny group of brothers of the night's watch).

2023-02-26 00:23:09 +0000 UTCWhen this season aired, GoT was the undisputed king of TV. It still holds up and its probably the only season I could sit down and rewatch on it own. Excited to see you guys experience the second half of the show. There's still SO much to see. :)

2023-02-14 08:21:54 +0000 UTCDon't think they ever say in the show but I'm 99% sure that in the book this was absolutely the case. The ships dropped Stanis north of the wall and they marched straight west along it only circling north at the last to catch the Wildlings off guard by coming behind them while their full attention was focused south on the wall. Last that we saw they were at sea in Bravos and there's really no difference between the trip along the wall whether on the north or south side.

2023-02-13 23:47:46 +0000 UTCWhile I don't think it is ever explicitly mentioned, Stannis and his army probably got north of the wall by boat IMO. If you look at the way Jon was going (east) and the time it took him and the direction the army was coming in (from east) then you would assume they did not come through the gate. Also Essos and one of its regions (Bravos) and Dragonstone is east. So since they would have to go and carry the army by ship anyways it would be reasonable to assume they went directly north of the wall.
