2026-02-04 08:04:26 +0000 UTCIt's changed a few times as Bramdog updated the game and then also released Seige of Dragonspear. Mapo's version looks to be sans the SoD update, so if you have SoD, that's probably why.

2026-02-03 16:11:40 +0000 UTCWithout them, it's like if OG Fallout just dropped you into the game without that kick ass cutscene at the beginning with "War never changes". Luckily the og cutscenes are kept intact for bg2, so you don't have to worry there. I wish Beamdog would have made the og scenes at least something you could view, but since it isn't, modding is the only option.

2026-02-03 16:08:11 +0000 UTCSO excited about this series! BG1 and 2 are some of my all time favorite games, and I loved Mapo Gnome's journey in 3. Rolling a 93 stat total is honestly extremely goated for this game, I think the highest I've ever rolled in all my years playing this is a 95. I do have one small recommendation for this playthrough, and I only hope it can be implemented easily: I HIGHLY recommend installing the Classic Movies mod. For some reason, Bg:ee "remade" the cutscenes for this game, and while I understand the old 98 cgi cutscenes are dated, they carry so much more weight for the story. And half the original cutscenes are just missing completely. Most of these just establish an area, but without them you lose a lot of tone and feeling of a proper transition. Even if you just look up the original opening cutscene of "Armored Figure" tossing the guy off the building, you'll see how the new ee scenes end up not hitting the same tone and weight that the story is going for.
