Quiet in here...

It's weird right now, isn't it? This is the first time the channel finished up a let's play, without another one running at the same time. After almost 6 years, can you believe that?

I'm so proud of the fact that I pumped out so much content over a time period of over half a decade!? But it's not over, I am looking forward to many more let's plays to come. Two new games are coming up real soon, just want to record a couple episodes of each first to have them ready to go and then I have a third game dropping soon after those. One of these was the winner of a recent Big Boss Tier Poll, the other two, well you'll see...

I used to play 3-4 games at a time on the channel, during the days of Covid lockdowns that kept me at home doing nothing but let's plays for y'all. Then I tried, and succeeded for quite a long time after, to keep that pace. Even while juggling many other things in life. Trying to maintain a degenerate hermit amount of gaming content output while balancing the life away from the desk, has been manageable, but not sustainable.
I wasn't treating myself very well in those times across 2020/2021 in particular, and well this channel was all that I had. So I put all that I was and am today into this.

And you all showed up for me and you gave me a reason to keep on going, and not only that but to improve my life too. And sometimes I go and touch grass now, occasionally I remember to take those ADHD meds, I'm eating very well and putting in the effort to look after my body. I don't force myself to record if I'm tired and sometimes...rest?
I spent many years not doing these things and I realised that I quite like it here, and I want to make sure that I'm here for a long time. For myself, for all of you, and those around me. I used to joke at 20 that I'd be gone at 30, which led to poor self care and self destructive choices. Well I'm 30 now, and I'd like to think I'm not going anywhere.

We're coming close to the end of 2025 already and the 6th year of Mapocolops, it's crazy. So I take this time to reflect on some things and look to the future. As always, I'm eternally grateful for your support, very lucky to be in this position and I am feeling very excited about the next few games I'm going to share with you.

Look after yourselves and those around you, be good to yourselves and others and share your love and passions for what matters to you because it genuinely makes a difference. For real.
