Rock/Water Love

Janelle Monae talks about masculine and feminine in terms of rock energy and water energy, and I love the symbolism of it. It feels right to me. Max and I use this language sometimes to describe the yin/yang kind of thing we have going on.

There’s that part in the Bottoms movie when Isabel is trying to describe Josie and PJ’s different energies and she goes:

And I was like YES I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN! Sometimes words aren’t enough. Sometimes you need hand motions and metaphors.

Anyways Max and I were in bed this weekend talking about this clone fucking thing. As stated I would be excited to fuck or date my clone. Max on the other hand wouldn’t want to do either. (But after a couple beers she did agree to tag team me with her clone should the opportunity ever arise.) “I can see fucking yourself since you’re attracted to feminine women as well, but I don’t know about dating yourself,” she said while lazily scratching my back. I moaned a little, asked her to do it harder.

“I feel like I would learn so much,” I said. “I feel like my self discovery and knowledge would grow in leaps and bounds, that would have to be a good thing.” I rambled as she scratched my shoulders and the back of my arms, about how she and I are rock and water. How we affect each other, rock giving water stability and shape, water softening the rocks edges over time. “But water plus water is just more water. Expansive.”

She notes this is why I love my coven of magical femmes. All this water energy, multiplied by itself. I nod as she slides her fingers down, down, down. And her rock energy? It grounds me, keeps me together, holds me. Appreciates my fluidity, and my wetness under her hands.

Ooo many good points! I suppose also it depends on if one is a person who grow more with similar people around them or with different people around them.
