For those who have been with me since Tumblr days, Rose is “The Redhead” from years ago. That post is now lost to the purge but the short version is I met her at a sex club. She was riding the sybian while “I Ain’t Sorry” from Beyoncé’s Lemonade album blasted over the speakers. I was instantly in love. I found her outside before we left and passed her my phone number with heart-eyes, trying to explain our parties and my crush. We didn’t see her for a few years, she moved out of the city and then there was a pandemic, but she and I stayed in touch.
