Creating Beautiful Things
Added 2020-11-17 05:42:01 +0000 UTCI think one of my resolutions for 2021 (other than survive) is to get back to creative projects. This year structural issues took a front seat, and I would love it if beauty and aesthetics could drive for a while.
2018 was a year I made beautiful things. Elly was a co-conspirator, muse, model, flower fairy of my dreams. We created so many beautiful things together, driven by our shared desire to capture how it felt. This shot is one of my favourites from a shoot we did for reference photos that autumn, worship hands and limbs entwined.
This summer she sent me a photo of one of her latest painting and I could tell right away she’d used one of the photos from this session as a reference. Such a sweet memory in such a new light, but still the same dreamy aura. Her talents always amaze me, this mosaic piece is no different.
