I tend to only do tarot readings for myself in times of great change or transition. I always do a simple past-present-future set up, and make a little note of the cards I pull and my thoughts about them. This time I had tea and flowers and raspberries to go with the quiet moment.
I didn’t realize this until I sat down and opened my book, but the last time I did a reading for myself happened to be April 4th, 2018. Very cool. One exact year later I felt the itch.
So I took my time shuffling the cards. I like to spread them out face down on the table and swirl them around and around with my hands, mixing them up. And then I randomly choose three cards. The back of the cards are all purple with green vines, there’s no way to tell them apart. There are 78 cards to choose from and I selected three cards for my reading, one of those cards was the 6 of cups, which I also pulled a year ago at my last reading. I love coincidences like this. They make me pay closer attention.
The 6 of cups represents child-like innocence, joy, and creativity. It’s a good reminder to connect to your authentic self and your intuition.
I checked my blog to see if I’d posted a picture, and sure enough there it was.
So here’s to giving myself permission to be playful, spontaneous and creative, and making space for my most authentic self.
