Lower Prices + A Serious Question
Added 2017-09-13 13:46:50 +0000 UTCHey everyone, just in case you didn't see, I've lowered my commission prices by about five dollars each. I've also offered refunds to those who have already bought commissions before then.
In other news, I want to ask a serious question, one that I have been wanting to ask for a long, long time:
What can I do to improve my Patreon?
I ask this because not only have I not had a new patron in months, I've actually lost quite a few, dropping from 27 to 13. I've also found that many of my current patrons have lowered their monthly payments, dropping from over $300 to just $70 a month.
Now, don't get me wrong, I am not blaming any of you. I will admit, when I first saw the messages, I was both saddened and even a bit angry, but now I realize that your reasons are your own, and I have faith in my watchers that your intentions are pure. I shouldn't have such a petty reaction to this sort of thing, but it still worries me.
Am I not posting enough content? Is my content too varied? Do I not offer enough for what I'm charging? Do I, as a person, rub others the wrong way? Is Patreon not a trustworthy platform? Or is my art just not worth it?
Please tell me honestly. This has been silently eating away at me for weeks now and I need to know the truth.

2017-09-14 02:18:51 +0000 UTCAlrighty! So I saw your two posts, and I will respond here. First) No. Keep the dollars. You deserve it. Second) Honestly, Omny, you are my go-to artist right now. You're very versatile and you can do mechanical lines (Robots and similar) extremely well. I can't comment on why people have left, but I can tell you my patronage is a little low cause I'm saving up for a move in the next few months. Once I've settled, things will probably change! I saw some responses about what you can do here to try to attract some more folks, and what I've seen (Over on FA) covers my thoughts. I think, if someone out there is willing, you could try to do some trades with other artists to see if you can draw in some folk. As for your attitude, I see no major issues! You're to the point with responses and I can respect that. I think your content is fine, Buuuuut the one thing I can suggest is, maybe, have a poll every so often (Maybe make it an incentive, access to answering polls) put a poll out about what you want to draw! Pick a few things you enjoy and let the patrons decide. That was the only thing I haven't seen. I ain't going anywhere, Omny, you've done 4 (five ish counting the wrestling one Rhaps was in?) and you do not disappoint. I hope that more people find their way to you. I know I signal boost you from time to time, especially when you open for comms elsewhere. I don't plan on stoppin. Just keep trying! :)

2017-09-13 14:52:28 +0000 UTCOn my side, I have absolutely no problem with your content as I really enjoy seeing it in my mail when it's uploaded. I had to lower my pledge a bit as I realized I may be in some troubles in a few months that will most likely cause a significant financial draining. Hopefully, once my situation improves I'd be able to raise my pledges again.
