Ruminating on a new game for a poll, I've landed on 4 games that I'd like to experience and also are around a 10-15ish? hour range...something not too lengthy to provide a small buffer before it's time for Silent Hill f! Enjoy, voters :)

I bought in on release day (25 years ago!) and played it all summer, and played it with friends in split-screen on my 16" TV for years afterwards. For me it was the quintessential shooter of my childhood and early teens, along with Goldeneye (and Counter-Strike).

2025-09-19 11:38:59 +0000 UTCWhile we are in the topic of Rare, you should consider Conker Bad Fur day at some point. It’s a hilarious funny game. Mature 17+ game with a greedy squirrel as the main character. It’s a miracle that Nintendo allowed it to be released at all, though they refused to market it so lower sales number due to that. The rare replay version gave some of it jokes censored however, compared to the n64 version which isn’t at all. A lot of the game is based on film-parodies.

2025-09-19 10:06:18 +0000 UTCI actually think I vote something else than perfect dark simply because I believe it deserves to be played when you aren’t in a rush to complete it within at short time frame. This game basicly remove content if you play in lower difficulties, making you want to try higher difficulties just to get the full game. And that takes time. Also you should really play Ori and the blind forest soon. 10-15 hours would be perfect for it. And you would love that game

2025-09-19 09:19:16 +0000 UTCI vaguely remember playing parasite Eve almost 30 years ago! The only other game I have any point of reference is that Perfect Dark, in the opinion of many, was better than Goldeneye and should’ve been the more popular game.
