So in japanese they also pronounce Cait Sith's name as "Ketto Shii" which is funnily enough more accurate than the anglicanized version of the name. There was a huge uproar on Twitter about the name because people we're mad that they're essentially erasing Gaelic language and culture. Maximilian Dood made a video about how he never knew why people were so mad about the pronunciation and understood it after he did some research. Cait Sith is obviously the more accessible pronunciation which is probably why they kept that.
