One of the things i love above this anime is that it explores Cyberpsychosis in a way the Game never did. Playing as V we never get that personal look into what Cyberpsychosis it's really like, she's always just an outsider looking in.... because all of the Cyberpsychos we encounter in the game are random people V has never met. Here tho... we see it not just through David's perspective but also from the eyes of someone who actually went Cyberpsycho... and witness how messy and fucked up it is for the person experiencing it. I also like how the series handles the characters... even the ones who are not the focus of an episode.... like Rebecca for example, she's the kind of person who would've also rushed back and fight alongside David, Maine and Dorio... she is a ride or die girl..... however the fact that her Brother Pillar died in episode 4 already gives the information we need to understand why she's missing in episodes 5 and 6.... she's most likely taking a break from Gigs to properly mourn her brother.

2024-02-22 17:17:00 +0000 UTCThe character proportions are standard Studio Trigger stuff, it's just a stylistic choice. Faces being a bit off is probably due to different animation directors, as Ichigo Kanno and Kai Ikarashi were in charge of ep6. They only worked on this episode too so they were probably chosen for the more striking imagery in the second half. Falco (driver man, appeared a few times but not really in focus), Rebecca (Pilar's sister) and Kiwi are still alive. Kiwi was just out of commission because she got knocked around by Maine at the start which is why Lucy had to step in.
