2025-06-23 00:15:38 +0000 UTCAhhh, I almost forgot this: the food they put in the home altars (at some moment I knew the word for them in Thai but forgot it, in Japanese they are butsudan), they throw it away (in a respectful way) after a couple hours or the day after. They think the dead already ate the food "essence". I think in Japan they eat it afterwards. In other Asian countries I don't know... seems a good theme to investigate.

2025-06-22 23:40:50 +0000 UTCI’ve commented on this one more than allot of shows that were top notch. The best part of it was Fabi’s reactions TBH. I do completely agree that the actors themselves are lovely and there were some sweet and funny moments. I don’t engage with BL fan sites, beyond following stuff on Instagram so I haven’t seen the angry ‘mob’ to borrow Philippe’s description. I think most people will feel like is - great actors but poorly designed and executed production. Some memorable moments but no coherent vision or direction.

I just want something on the level of Last Twilight for Mark and Ohm, something funny, with depth and emotion. One of those stories that leaves you thinking, WOW, that was INCREDIBLE by the end!

2025-06-22 23:09:46 +0000 UTCI like the way Fabi puts his criticism about this one. I, for one, don’t think the actors deserve the internet turning into a mob trying to lynch this series. I didn’t expect a masterpiece in terms of script when I started this — just some funny/cute Mark moments (I like Ohm2 too, but Mark drives me crazy in a way that’s just not comparable hahah). And at first, I got that... and even more! The over-the-top humor was something refreshing in BL scene. Then came the mess. The script went downhill to the bottom of the ocean. Enough to throw Mark/Jimmy etc off the board? No. If anything, it made me angry because of the disrespect it meant for them. Then we had this finale... a little disjointed, all over the place, and hard to follow... but I still had my Mark moments (and they were great. And HOT). I think it’s totally fine to be vocal when we criticize these series, but we should be clear about which aspects deserve the criticism. Just joining the “I hated this, it’s all horrible,” etc., does little to help the future of good actors who have brought us so much joy over the years.

2025-06-22 22:57:51 +0000 UTCIt's true, it was a mix of cute scenes, but I'll take it. I'll forgive everything just to see Mark and Ohm2 being touchy hahaha. Seriously, if Mark were in the bathtub with me like that, I’d die, go to heaven (/hell XD), and come back like a million times. They make me so shallow hahahah. But in a more serious tone, I really like their acting, all of them (except Jada, whom I still dislike). Mark is on point with his facial expressions, I love him way too much. There were even some great lines in this episode. I really liked: "Ugh, if I had known doing the service would be this exhausting... I would've stayed here anyway. I'm just complaining for the sake of it." (9:22) Poor Gugg, they did you a great disservice. What was that storyline? At least he managed to become a celebrity, but the whole Jada thing? I really didn’t get the point of any of that. I liked Gugg character. He was a loyal, funny, caring friend. I missed some of that in this last epsiode. Fabi actually made me scream in this one, at 40:00: Fabi: "Who is Jeng?" Me: "¡¿Cómo que quién es Jeng?!" Sorry, Fabi XD, I'll let you off the hook for not getting Captain's present and all those things you forgot about the first episodes, but the drama about poor Khao being dead was just in the last episodes XD

It didn't completely escape from the overall weirdness and disjointedness, but I'll take what I can get. It felt more like a mid-season episode than a finale, but hey, it made it to the finish line.
