Agreed, such an interesting and original concept for a show

Who else has said, "I wish my dog could become human so he could be my boyfriend?" That's right... NOBODY.

People have said multiple things that I wanted to say: how the ending doesn’t quite feel right and doesn’t match what the message appeared to be, how they could get past the pet/owner thing due to seeing much weirder stuff (thank you anime), and how the message appeared to be dealing with fear of loneliness. I would add that it seems to also be a lesson in dealing with grief and survivor’s guilt. As someone who has lost loved ones, animal and human alike, episode 10 had me bawling my eyes out. That song at the end was a CRIME cause she just kept saying “goodbye” (annyeong) over and over. The scene that meant the most was when they assured him that they don’t blame him at all and were just worried about him. Of course, the grief topic kinda gets thrown out in the last episode since they came back, but I prefer to feel like half of episode 11 was the real ending and everything after that was a fantasy lol I still give the show a 9.5 - the cinematography, the acting, the tangible emotion, the cuteness… they really did an awesome job. They just didn’t know how to end a complex story idea logically.

I was also expecting your version of the finale and I think it would've been much better LOL

I didn’t like episode 11, it doesn’t make sense to me. IMO, the whole point of the plot was that Choco and Milk were there to help Jungwoo be happy again, to move on with his life. But episode 11 shows us that he wasn't able to do that, and then the pets just come back (just because? Coming back from the afterlife seems so trivial) for a romantic finale... it feels like this was to appeal to some fans who wanted some BL action, and seems so disconnected to the rest of the plot. Jungwoo should’ve gotten back with his ex or someone new, and maybe Choco and Milk could’ve reincarnated as pets again, IDK. But that episode is what made the series feel kind of “meh” for me. Honestly, it’s much better to pretend it ended at episode 10.
